Jacqueline Castel

Jacqueline’s work explores themes of occultism, surrealism, erotica, and infuses genre cinema into her storytelling. Jacqueline is a producer’s dream, with citizenship in France, Canada, and the US and based in NYC.  She is widely prolific across a number of mediums with a background in visual art and music. Her film work has been featured at more than fifty festivals worldwide, including Sundance, SXSW, Rotterdam, Sitges, and Fantasia along with national tours of Japan and the UK. She has written for and directed cult auteurs John Carpenter and Jim Jarmusch, and collaborated with David Lynch for his Festival of Disruption in 2018. Jacqueline’s work has appeared on platforms as varied as The New York Times, The BBC, NOWNESS, VICE, Italian Vogue, Interview Magazine, and Shudder. Her debut feature film, MY ANIMAL, premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival in the Midnight Section and was released by Paramount.
