Born in Bilbao, Galder is an experienced film and advertising director and producer, with a B.A. in business management and specializing in international trade. In 2019, Galder’s debut feature THE PLATFORM (El Hoyo) won TIFF’s People’s Choice Award, Best Film at Sitges, and was nominated for three Goyas, including Best New Director and Best Original Screenplay. THE PLATFORM was released worldwide by Netflix in March 2020 and was an instant hit, becoming #1 in the world and in the Top 10 most-watched movies on Netflix of all time. He is in post-production on RICH FLU, a satirical thriller about a strange disease that kills off billionaires, millionaires and anyone with some sort of fortune produced by Fabula’s Pablo Larrain and Juan de Dios Larraín.
